This Classic Railroad Series VHS/NTSC format videotape consists of two different titles relating to the New York Central System and the famous Twentieth Century Limited! First there is "Flight Of The Century" which suggests perhaps it was one of the most celebrated trains in the world..perhaps because of it's fast schedule. Back in the 1930's the 20 Century Limited could carry passengers in lavsh luxury between Chicago and New York in 16 hours. It was fast, modern, and carried the highest class of people, from it's beginning to the very end in 1967.
The next segment "New York Calling" takes a trip to New York via a New York Central Steamliner. Sever name trains are shown as well as arrivals at New York's Grand Central Station. Included is a tour of New York, featuring the city's harbor and Coney Island. This is truly a rare color film from the 1940's. Total approximate running time is 40 minutes.
